EMKP Project Curator: Digital
The British Museum are seeking a Project Curator who can contribute to the digital vision and implementation of the Endangered Material Knowledge Programme, which focuses on the digital preservation of critically threatened material knowledge globally. This role will look to carry out a wide-ranging audit of digital platforms and functionality, with a focus on improving workflow and architecture and expanding public usability and accessibility. Job Requirements
- To review and refine digital audit workflows and contribute to the audit of assets submitted for publication to minimise errors and ensure data quality.
- To refine and optimise repository publication workflows ensuring efficient team procedures, strengthening risk management practices, and reducing turnaround times.
- To review the repository layout, for better retrieval of data and to improve public accessibility, including the development of user-friendly public-facing platforms for repository dissemination to external stakeholders (e.g. website searching platform via repository API).
- To review and refresh website architecture and design to expand scope of website as portal for diverse EMKP users and community.

Job Responsibilities
With a BA/BSc or equivalent in digital humanities, information systems, computer science or related discipline, you will have had experience working with digital repositories and sufficient skills in information and data science. As you will have worked with digital assets and digital collections, you would have digital preservation or archiving certifications.The post-holder would be an effective communicator in written and verbal English, working with a variety of stakeholders and in teams and presenting in public when required.
